BSP AND TEAMWORK ONLINE ANNOUNCE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO STRENGTHEN SPORTS INDUSTRY

CLEVELAND | COLUMBUS (JANUARY 19, 2026) – The National Society of Black Sports Professionals (BSP) Inc., a leading sports business professional development resource and TeamWork Online, the #1 way to find jobs in the sports and entertainment industry, have announced a strategic partnership after years of grassroots collaboration.

TeamWork Online (TW) is increasing its support to BSP and its members nationally for greater access to employers and career opportunities, tools for members to better position their profiles and candidacies and network. Active BSP members will receive access to the TeamWorkU program, which focuses on students and young professionals getting hired faster. This includes weekly career development newsletters, a profile analyzer and discounts to both TeamWork events and to upgrading to MVP Access.  The MVP Access activation fee will be waived if one wants to upgrade a standard account to MVP Access on the platform.

TeamWork Online’s MVP Access provides greater benefits to users including:

  • Stand out – members applications rise to the top of the employer’s job folder
  • Transparency – members are able to see the date the employer took action on their application
  • See the Competition – members are able to see how many candidates are vying for a specific job

All BSP members will receive weekly coaching tips from employers, online hires and TW our  founder, Buffy Filippell, as well as a discount off TW networking events nationally and upgrade to MVP Access.

BSP Chapters would have access to TeamWork’s 60+ career fairs and networking events nationwide annually, with one (1) Chapter Executive Board member, who is their ambassador to TW, attending to engage BSP attendees and promote the organization. TW will also be in attendance at BSP national and chapter events, when possible, and collaborate on virtual programming opportunities annually. Both organizations will support the partnership with marketing assets, including newsletters, website presence and social media content.

“As BSP approaches 20 years of community-building and impact, we’ve seen the sea change of undergraduate and graduate students, along with young professionals, identifying themselves and becoming the fastest-growing level of our organization,” said Bruce Wimbish, BSP Co-Founder and National President. “TeamWork Online has a legacy of being the top industry resource for finding jobs in the sports and entertainment industry, and in recent years has dedicated a greater focus to the next generation of industry professionals, which matches our desire to sustain our talent pipeline in representation, retention and advancement.”

“TeamWork Online and its employers have long supported the Black Sports Professionals,” said TeamWork Online Founder, Buffy Filippell and President Davis Fillipell. “We are excited to be able to formalize this partnership with increased benefits for members through the TeamWorkU program; including career coaching newsletters, visibility, and more.”
